This award is open to all businesses that have started within the last 2 years. The winner will have displayed a strategic approach to business, successful implementation of a business plan and will have good prospects for the future. Applicants must demonstrate the capacity to create employment.
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Company profile;
- Objectives;
- Growth;
- Competitive edge; and
- Future plans
Judges will take into consideration the presentation and clarity of each entry.
Outstanding Marketing Campaign
This award recognises the quality of marketing a product or service. Applicants should demonstrate creativity, effective delivery of strategy and measurable results in multi-platform media – digital, print and/or radio.
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Creativity including visual appeal and effectiveness of imagery;
- Achievement of key performance indicators;
- Communication of marketing purpose; and
- Future vision.
Judges will take into consideration the presentation and clarity of each entry.
Best Health & Wellbeing Provider
This award is open to businesses (with a shop-front) offering health, wellbeing and beauty services and treatments. Applicants must demonstrate evidence of impact of health benefits of their product/service on their clients/service users.
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Range and quality of treatments, services and products used (if applicable);
- Feedback from clients/service users;
- Demonstrable indications of improvement of health/wellbeing in clients/service users; and
- Future plans.
Judges will take into consideration the presentation and clarity of each entry.
Outstanding Sales Team sponsored by Craft Training NI
Judges will be looking for teams that can demonstrate an ongoing commitment to delivering best practice and measurable results in the sale of their product/service. Applicants should demonstrate evidence of customer service and after-care ie., reviews and feedback.
Each entry must include information under the following headings:
- Details of the team;
- Details of the product/service;
- Recent campaigns/work examples;
- Demonstration of achievement of targets/goals; and
- Any industry accreditations.
Judges will take into consideration the presentation and clarity of each entry.
Accommodation Provider of the Year sponsored by Power NI
This award celebrates the outstanding contribution accommodation providers make to the economy of the district and will recognise those businesses that provide guests with an unforgettable experience. Eligible applicants for this award will include B&B’s, Guesthouses, Glamping sites and Hotels. AirBnb’s are excluded from this category.
Each entry must include information under the following headings:
- Recognised UK and/or Ireland based quality assurance rating;
- Evidence of recent customer service satisfaction ie., Trip Advisor ratings;
- Recent improvements made to enhance the customer’s experience;
- Accessibility features ie., changing places bathrooms, lifts; and
- Evidence of continuing staff training and development in hospitality ie., customer service, JAM card training, diversity and inclusion etc.
Judges will take into consideration the presentation and clarity of each entry.
Best Daytime Eatery sponsored by Gortrush Food Services
This award is open to daytime dining establishments who provide the best coffee and dining experience and delivering outstanding customer service. Judges will be looking for details of all aspects of the food, beverage and service offering of each venue.
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Atmosphere, friendliness of staff etc;
- Menu options;
- Up to date Council food hygiene rating;
- Décor and cleanliness; and
- Accessibility;
Judges will take into consideration the presentation and clarity of each entry.
Best Night time Venue with Food Service sponsored by Blenders Sauces (in assoc with Gortrush Food Services)
This award is open to dining establishments open in the evenings who provide the best food, beverages, entertainment and customer service in the district. Judges will be looking for details of all aspects of the hospitality offering of each venue.
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Food quality and presentation;
- Food and drink menu variety and originality;
- Levels of customer service and ambience;
- Capacity and provision of entertainment; and
- A demonstration of strong relationships with local suppliers.
Judges will take into consideration the presentation and clarity of each entry.
Construction/Engineering/Manufacturing Team of the Year sponsored by Fermanagh & Omagh District Council
This award is open to all businesses within the Construction, Engineering and Manufacturing industries. Judges will be looking for detailed information about the business and it’s main activities, business performance and recent successful projects/initiatives/innovations.
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Company description;
- Plans and growth;
- Results of project/initiative/innovation; and
- Impact on the marketplace.
Judges will take into consideration the presentation and clarity of each entry.
Family Business of the Year sponsored by Abac Chartered Accountants
This award celebrates local family-owned and run businesses with a minimum of 2 family members working together – spouses, siblings, father/son, mother/daughter etc. Nominations are open to established family businesses across all industry sectors that can demonstrate sustained success.
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Company description;
- How family members guided the development of the business;
- Plans for the business including how future family generations will be involved; and
- Measures of success.
Judges will take into consideration the presentation and clarity of each entry.
