To Mary and the extended family, I offer my sincere sympathy , on the death of Hugh. He was one of the truest friends that anyone could have had. I first met him in 1968, and have shared some wonderful stories with him from that period onwards. His advice was priceless , and I along with many others, have benefited from his good council . I did have the pleasure of many tea and scones from Mary, and the stories of the day, or past days from Hughie. He was a great judge of character, and if you listened to his advice , you would not be far from off getting it right. Mary and he were a lovely partnership. I could go on listing Hughie’s great points, but as an old nurse once said of Hugh ” It is the full goose that flies low”. You have been in my prayers for the last number of years and will continue to be in them . Again Mary and all the family, May he rest in peace, because He saw the bigger picture. A truly remarkable person. R.I.P.

I am so sad to learn of Hugh’s passing He was a true gentleman who by example and discussion , taught us so much. He had a most wonderful dry sense of humour and a great character to work with. I have so many memories of him all positive. Jim Keown.

So sorry to hear about the passing of your father Siobhan. I never met Hugh, but I enjoyed hearing about him from you. He’s in my prayers as are you and the family.

Condolences
