A NEW defibrillator has been unveiled at the Strule Shared Education Campus site in Omagh.
The device was generously donated by Woodvale Lowry Joint Venture (WLJV), the local construction partnership currently leading the build of the major educational campus.
Representatives from the Omagh Churches Forum (OCF) were welcomed to the site for the unveiling and a guided tour of the ongoing works.
Desmond Scott, a director at WLJV, said the team was proud to make a positive contribution to the local community.
Mr Scott said, “We were delighted to welcome the Omagh Churches Forum for the defibrillator unveiling. It was a pleasure to host them on-site and we’re grateful for their continued support as this important project moves forward.”
The Omagh Churches Forum offered their support and blessings for the initiative, acknowledging the vital role the campus will play in the community.
A spokesperson for the forum stated, “We collectively recognise and seek God’s guidance and protection for the construction and future use of the campus. We commend the schools involved, particularly those preparing to relocate here, and will continue to pray for the project’s success.”
The Strule Shared Education Campus, once complete, will accommodate over 4,000 pupils and serve as the North’s largest shared learning facility. The project is also expected to deliver a boost to the local economy through jobs, subcontracting and supply opportunities.
WLJV is a partnership between two well-established West Tyrone construction firms – Woodvale Construction Company and Lowry Building & Civil Engineering – who have been working together on various building projects for over five decades.
