Put Your Employees First

Richard Branson, owner of the Virgin empire is famous for making his staff his biggest priority. With statements such as “Clients do not come first. Employees come first, look after your employees and they will look after your clients.”

There is no doubt that a happy workforce, delivers a better level of service, which results in a happier client base. So how do we create the happiest workforce we can? Is it with fair treatment and regular reviews? Or is it with a relaxed working environment and amazing incentives should you do well.

What’s important to remember is that what employees want, and what employers think that employees want are two completely different things. Although things such as good salaries and benefits are extremely important, what matters most to employees is gratification and acknowledgement for their time and commitment.
