Clogher Valley Show is underway

ONE of Tyrone’s most popular farming has returned in style, with the 102nd Clogher Valley Show.

Some of the finest livestock from across the country will bid for the top awards at the agricultural extravaganza, which also features a host of other attractions.

To kick off the celebrations, Clogher Valley Show’s bountiful Food Hall was opened last night by Ulster Farmers’ Union president, David Brown. Today there will be a Junior and Senior Cook-Off Competition running alongside ongoing cookery demonstrations.

Trade exhibitors will be selling a wide range of merchandise, so spectators from the farming community can view the most up-to-date machinery, cars and products and avail of special show-day offers. There will be special awards for Best Trade Stands, most attractive in Food Hall, and most outstanding in the Craft Marquee.

Traffic diversions will be in operation on the morning of the show to facilitate the free flow of traffic.

Spectators can have the choice of watching horse and pony classes in Jack Johnston’s field. Sheep Showing, Goat Showing, Food Hall, Craft Marquee, School Children’s and Adults Arts and Crafts, Floral and Horticulture display and Home Baking etc will now be relocated to the field across the road previously known as the Cattle field. Cattle Showing will take place in Mr Stephen Finlay’s Field.

There is entertainment as well as other amusements and side shows for children.
