GAA club raises over £9,000 for three worthy causes

St Patrick’s GAA Club in Donaghmore raised a total of £9,246 through its annual Christmas Eve collection, which has been divided equally between three worthy causes – Marie Curie, Motor Neurone and the Special Provisions Class at St Patrick’s Primary School.

Club chair Darren Torres, treasurer Patsy Hetherington and committee member and collection organiser Brendan Conlon are pictured presenting the cheques to Margaret Gallagher, of Marie Curie, Peter Harte, Emma Doyle and Dara Catalans, from the Special Provisions Class at St Patrick’s PS Donaghmore, and Marie Holmes, of Motor Neurone.

“Thank you to everyone for their generous contributions and for helping out on the day, very much appreciated,” a spokesperson for the club added.
