Special event in Castlederg to raise funds for autism charity

DERGVIEW Football Club is hosting a ‘Be Colourful’ fundraiser for Autism NI next week.

Under the slogan ‘be kind to different minds’, the club will use the event to raise funds for this worthwhile local charity by staging an evening of fun and games at Darragh Park on Monday, April 28, kicking off at 6.30pm.

Organisers are encouraging those in attendance to wear something bright and colourful to raise awareness of the developmental condition during what is officially World Autism Acceptance Month.

A number of guest coaches have been lined up for the event, including former Northern Ireland international Ivan Sproule, current Portadown player Ryan Mayse, former club captain Blaine Burns and two of the club’s rising stars, Ethan Nethery and Sam Sproule.

This event is open to everyone and organiser Melanie Sproule has encouraged those coming along to ‘get dressed up and be colourful what is sure to be a fun-filled evening’.

There is a suggested donation of £2 per person.
