A STRABANE woman who was a former patient in Altnagelvin Hospital has raised close to £3,000 for the cancer unit where she was treated after her family climbed Mount Errigal.
THE Western Health and Social Care Trust (Western Trust) gratefully acknowledged a kind donation to the Sperrin Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital from former patient Brenda McDermott from Strabane.
Brenda’s family and friends climbed Mount Errigal, Co. Donegal recently, to fundraise for the Sperrin Unit when Brenda had finished her treatment, in appreciation of the wonderful care and treatment she had received from staff in the Unit.
An incredible total of £2,800 was raised.
Brenda and Tina Fraser made the cheque presentation to Sperrin Unit Staff Nurse Emma Allen; Sister Jennifer McLaughlin; Sperrin Unit Manager Denise McDonald and Staff Nurse Carolyn Rutherford.
