Tyrone charity cycle raises over £30,000

THE founder of a charity that helps bereaved families repatriate the bodies of loved ones who have died abroad has thanked a Tyrone firm after receiving a generous donation of more than £30,000.

CavanaghKelly accountants, which has offices in Omagh and Dungannon, raised a total of £34,298 for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust through its #GearingUpForKBRT charity cycle.

The money was handed over to the charity’s founder, Colin Bell, at CavanaghKelly’s Dungannon office.

After gratefully receiving the cheque, Colin and his wife, Eithne, wrote to the firm to say its support was “greatly appreciated”.

Colin stated, “I was genuinely shocked to learn that you had raised the amazing total of £34,298 – it was so far beyond what I expected and will help so many families going forward.

“Thank you all at CavanaghKelly so much.”
