AN actor from Dungannon has joined the cast of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast prequel.
Fra Fee, who recently starred in Marvel’s Hawkeye series, joins co-stars Luke Evans and Josh Gad (aka, Olaf from Frozen).
According to Variety, the Tyrone-native will star as Prince Benoit Berlioz, who the magazine describes as “a handsome, charismatic, confident prince”.
Announcing the news on Instagram, Mr Fee said, “’Someday my prince will come…’ THRILLED to be joining @thereallukeevans & @joshgad on this.
“The wee lad who watched the beast turn into the prince repeatedly on VHS is even more so.”
The prequel is set years before the events of the 2017 live-action Beauty and the Beast film, which starred Emma Watson in the lead as Belle.
Mr Fee has come to wider prominence in recent months following his stint as Kazi Kazimierczak in the Hawkeye series, starring alongside Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld.
He made his blockbuster debut as Courfeyrac in the 2012 movie adaptation of Les Misérables.
Filming for the new series is set to begin in the spring with eight episodes to be streamed on Disney Plus.
