THE Omagh Music Society will stage their annual spring concert this weekend at the Strule Arts Centre.
Upliftingly-titled ‘Spring Melodies’, this year, for the first time, the concert will be directed by Derick Weir and accompanied on piano by the gifted Gráinne Kirke.
Poignantly, this year’s concert is dedicated to the memory of the Society’s late President Margaret Mitchell BEM, who sadly passed earlier in the year and whom is dearly-missed.
The concert will include singalong numbers from well-known musical favourites, such as ‘The Sound of Music’ as well as a variety of choral works which range from ‘The Lord of the Rings’ to Mozart’s ‘Ave Verum’ ensuring something for everyone.
“Join us at the Strule Arts Centre for an enchanting evening of choral music, as Omagh Music Society presents their annual ‘Spring Melodies’ concert,” said a spokesperson from the Strule.
“Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a harmonious blend of classical and contemporary choral pieces.”
Come along to Strule Arts Centre, Omagh, on Friday, May 16 at 7.30pm for an enjoyable evening’s musical entertainment in memory of Margaret. Tickets are free for children aged 15 years and under but they must be accompanied by an adult.
