10 Things That Need To Be On Your Groom Wedding Day Prep List

As the groom you have important responsibilities on your wedding day and instead of trying to balance them all in your head, it’s a good idea to put together a list that you can keep with you, whether it’s on a piece of paper or your phone.
In fact, maybe give a back-up copy to your best man too. That way at least one of you might remember to glance over the list!
Here is the ultimate last minute check list to make sure nothing is forgotten…
1. Set An Alarm
Make sure you set it nice and early so that there’s no rushing and you have a bit of extra time for unexpected delays. Then, when it goes off, remember that you really do need to get up today. You can forget the snooze button…

2. Eat Breakfast
Make sure you aren’t hungry because gurgling stomachs don’t make the nicest noise for wedding ceremonies. Eat something that you are used to. Now is not the time for anything that could make you unwell.
3.  Treat Your Bride
It’s tradition that on the morning of his wedding, the groom treats the bride to a gift. Surprise her with something special that will make the day even greater than she anticipated.

4. Remind Your Best Man
The best man is probably in charge of the rings, but it’s worth double checking that he’s got everything and won’t disappoint you at the crucial moment.
5. Stay Hydrated
No, this isn’t about drinking alcohol. If you want to feel your best at your wedding you need to drink plenty of water. This will also help with getting you energised and ready for the day.
6. Have A Back-Up Plan
If you’re worried about anything going wrong, make sure you’ve got a back-up plan and that your best man knows exactly what to do. That way, you’ll be smooth sailing and without worry.
7. Communicate With The Staff
If you aren’t sure how the day is going to run, communicate with the appropriate people. Even if you need to talk to everyone, from the bar to the caterers, make sure you know what’s going on because people will be counting on you later on if they have any questions. You might also need to organise payment for the staff and give them any special requests.
8. Be Ready For Afterwards
If you’re going on your honeymoon soon after your wedding, make sure you’re prepared. Treat it as a separate event and keep everything packed and tidy. That way you won’t lose your sun cream before you even get to the airport.

9. Double Check The Transport
Make sure that any transport is accurate so that any traffic can be anticipated and that the day runs smoothly. This means speaking with the maid of honour to check that the bride’s transport is all sorted.
10. Have Photos Taken
The whole process should be a memorable and special experience, from the getting ready parts to the wedding ceremony to the reception. Make sure you relax and smile for the camera.  This will be the first day of the rest of your life together, so enjoy it!
