Giusell enourages people to ‘B-Fit’ after awards win

A LOCAL woman who has built up a thriving online fitness and health business, was awarded for her tireless work in the field last month when she scooped a prestigious award.

Giusell Di Nucci, owner of the lifestyle, fitness and nutrition app, ‘Balance’, was voted ‘Best Personal Trainer’ at the NI B-Fit Awards ceremony in Belfast.

Giusell admits that she was ‘very humbled’ by her win, saying, “It’s such an honour that my clients took the time to nominate me for the award. I had no idea that they had done it until I was notified. The process was two-fold; getting the nomination from my clients was first, and the second part required me to ‘prove my worth’ by providing a portfolio of my work over the past three years, including testimonials form clients, detailing my work ethic, how I have furthered my education in the field of fitness, nutrition and health and where I intend to take the business going forward.”

Giusell was present at the Gala Award in the Europa recently, alongside celebrities, such as reality TV star, Callum Best, and Blue Peter presenter and magician, Joel Mawhinney.

“It’s such an honour to have won this award,” she continued. “It means so much to me that my clients thought so much to nominate me in the first place. I’m thrilled!”

Giusell’s app, named ‘Balance’, is a one-stop shop of fitness and health, coaching and nutritional tips; both on a one-to-one and group training basis, solely aimed at women.

As she explained, “I wanted to provide a service for women who are too busy to get to the gym or lack the confidence, possibly through mental health struggles. I have had personal experience with mental health, having lost my aunt to suicide a few years ago because of her own struggles. So it’s an issue which is vitally important to me.

“Balance is an app with everything women need to maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle, both physically and mentally.

“I began Balance during lockdown, when everyone was stuck at home, and it’s grown so much in the past three years.

“Balance has built up a lovely community of very supportive women, who all work together for a common goal, forging life-long friendships along the way. People may think that Balance is just an online boot camp, but it’s much more than that: It’s a sisterhood!”
