These delicious sausage cinnamon rolls are anything but healthy but we can assure you that they are extremely tasty.
They would make a perfect weekend breakfast, or even a scrumptious treat for on the go. They’re quick, inexpensive and extremely easy to make, so make sure to give them a go over the festive season.
You will need
• 1 packet of sausages
• 1 slice of bread for each sausage (white bread works best)
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup of milk
• 1 cup of sugar
• A pinch of salt
• A pinch of nutmeg
• 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Method:
1. First cook the sausages either in the grill or the oven until fully cooked through.
2. Cut the crusts off a slice of bread, and flatten the slice with your hands or a rolling pin.
3. Roll the sausage up in the bread.
4. Whisk the eggs, milk, sugar and spices in a bowl, and dip the sausages wrapped in bread lightly in the mixture.
5. Melt butter in a frying pan until nice and hot and fry the rolls in the pan, one by one.
6. Dust in powdered sugar.
7. Dunk in maple syrup.
8. Enjoy.
