Quick & Healthy Work Snacks

Work snacks are amazing, they break up your day and give you something to look forward to as well as stopping you getting hungry.

We don’t know about you, but here in the North-West Jobs office, the lovely people who work here bring all kinds of cakes and sweets and goodies. So when there’s a tin of roses sitting on the desk across from you, it’s hard to behave yourself.

Here’s a few of our lovely favourites to hopefully kill any cravings and keep huynger at bay whilst still being as good as you can.

Apples/Carrot & Peanut Butter

This is a popular one because it’s amazing. It tastes great, it’s rediculously cheap and it’s very easy to make. Spread some peanut butter on a few slices of apple or just dip your carroit into the jar. We like Whole Earth’s Cruncy Peanut Butter but there’s loads of other nut butter’s out there you can try. Try and stick to organic nut butters with under 5 ingredients, a lot of sweeter peanut butters are full of sugar and unnecessary oil. Sprinkle in a few dark chocolate chips or raisins or oats for added yumminess.

Greek Yogurt & Bananabanana-yogurt-face-mask
This is such an underrated snack but it’s absolutely delicious. Use full fat greek yogurt, it’s higher in protein and fat soluble vitamins and nutrients. The higher calories are good calories, so don’t dismiss full fat. Slice the banana on top and there you go. Easy cheap and healthy.

 

Egg Avocado Pot

Boil an egg, hard boiled works better for this but if you prefer a softer yolk then that’s fine. Chop up the egg and chop up and avocado and pop it in a little container. Sprinkle with a few chopped cherry tomatoes and a squeeze of lime. This works hot or cold so have it either way, and seasn with a little rock salt and black pepper.
