THE owners of an impressive local garden will open it to the public at the end of the month for charity.
Tattykeel House on the Omagh to Ballygawley road has a two-acre garden which has been developed over the last 25 years by owners Hugh and Kathleen Ward.
The garden, which has featured on the BBC, has been planted with conifers, shrubs, roses and perennials. There is a sheltered seating area and a Japanese-influenced area with an array of interesting features.
The garden will be open to the public from 2pm to 5pm on Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1.
Admission is £5 per adult and there will be no charge for children.
The money raised through admission fees will be shared among charities supported as part of the National Garden Scheme.
The scheme gives visitors unique access to over 3,500 exceptional private gardens in the UK and raises money for nursing and health charities.
The money made from the sale of refreshments at the Tattykeel House event will be donated to the Children’s Heart Trust at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
Everyone is welcome to come along and support the event.
