Lock-down 934
Day 1… We are so incredibly blessed with another lock-down! It means more quality family time and how lucky are we getting this opportunity to be such a vital part of our children’s education? I’m so excited to start … the plans are done and printed, the pencils are newly sharpened, clean new pages are set out, colour coded folders and paper clips – check. We are ready bring it on 💪💪💪👏👏👏
Day 2.. OK, so we need to work on their listening!! I’m not sure why they don’t actually sit on a chair but hey it’s all new! They will be fine, especially now that I have made new number charts, phonic boards and have done a crash course on adding fractions. I’m sure most students shove crayons up each others noses when the teacher nips to the loo but I’ve added it to the “our school rules” list so they won’t be trying that again!… I’m still feeling blessed, tired but definitely blessed !!!
Day 3 … Jesus wept, they are really not getting it today how can you unlearn something? We only covered this yesterday, even the bloomin cats can do it. I’m still feeling blessed though… actually have a splitting headache and feel like hiding in the cupboard but lucky me, I’m getting to see my clever little humans in action. I look at them working away and stare in awe knowing I actually created these beautiful beings … it’s just a little hump today we will be fine tomorrow… yep absolutely fine, we are fine, totally fine …
Day 4 … Christ alive… I actually cannot believe I created these feral little humans … human is a stretch here, what do they think I am? Google? I’m moving on now, if they don’t know it by now they never will. I’m literally banging my head off the wall and they think I’m doing a music lesson Who are they to tell me that 14 fire drills in one day is excessive? I’m only looking out for their safety
OK maybe 2 hours was a bit long for me and Daddy to go back in and make sure everyone had escaped the burning building but we were being very thorough…. Good news, the cats can tell the time now, the kids however can’t, but look, that’s their problem if they want to spend their lives being late for stuff, that’s on them. I tried, god knows I tried … Friday tomorrow, thank the lord Fridays are a fun day at school.. aren’t they ??? Art.. we will do art
