Home Schooling Week 2

Day 1 … New week, new us.  The stress of last week is a distant memory, well except for the wall art and some residue nasal crayon but hey ho, we are up and at it and raring to go…

Last week was a learning experience. I’ve regrouped, restatagised and I’m very confident that this week’s home schooling will be a roaring success. My motto this week is… fail to prepare, prepare to fail!!

Stretches and lunges complete and a brand new colour coded plan printed and tacked to the wall 🙌🙌
Let class begin 💪💪💪💪💪

Day 2… OK… I’ve stopped crying now and I’ve unlocked the bathroom door.  The Daddy has cello taped my plan back together.  Maybe I was hasty in ripping it up and he’s right, they aren’t totally incapable of listening. I mean they have YouTube videos on repeat and they hear every word of them!  Maybe looking for one bedroom apartments for myself was a little dramatic … I just need to take a deep breath, get back on the horse and have a fire drill..

We can do this and I’ll be sure to apologise to the children for the names I called them!  I will reassure them that Mummy isn’t really going to run away to a deserted island for a bit of peace and quiet.  Mummy was just tired and a little bit overwhelmed with the whole world falling apart thing.  The children said their ‘proper’ teacher never says words like that, I bet she does behind their back!
It’s grand, tomorrow is half way and we still have P.E to do today so that will burn some energy off .. thank god for Joe wicks!!!

Day 3… Joe Wicks is an a**hole… 25 minutes it took me to sit up this morning and the little one can’t bend because the bad P.E man made him do jumping 🙄
Is it February yet?  Can you rent a teacher?

Everyone cried at the fire drill today.. “Not again Mummy”, they said.  Jeez, they have no idea how important safety is 🙄
A mum on Pinterest put gin in her cornflakes, I like her ….. I think we could be friends..

I emailed the department of education about adding Minecraft to the curriculum, I’m still waiting for an answer! What age do they actually believe that capital letters are a thing and can we take a minute to be thankful for the talking clock that took the pressure of one topic! 🕐

Day 4… Joe Wicks has blocked me,  apparently he doesn’t tolerate that sort of language 🙄  jog on Joe …
Home schooling is absolutely wonderful today.  I’m loving it!  I can tell the kids thought my rendition of grease lighting was good, they didn’t stay for all of my line dancing but they seemed impressed nonetheless.
Top tip with the cornflake gin thing, honestly, I’ve never felt as happy and I’m dying for a curry chip!🍟
Friday tomorrow good times …..

Day 5…. NO… just no … I can’t, I won’t, I ain’t gonna … my headache is unreal, possibly COVID.  I might need to isolate. The Daddy thinks it was all the cornflakes I drank yesterday but what would he know.
School is closed as it’s a bank holiday or something… week 9 complete… I can’t believe it’s June already… happy Halloween 😭😭
