RESURFACING works worth approximately £4 million are set to be carried out across the district in the year ahead, the Department for Infrastructure’s (DFI) Western Division has confirmed.
Details were outlined in the Division’s annual report to Fermanagh and Omagh District Council at a special meeting this week.
A wide range of roads are included in the plans, with proposed resurfacing on the Termon and Drumnakilly roads near Carrickmore, Church Street in Fintona, Moylagh Road in Beragh, Creggan Road in Carrickmore, Aghafad Road in Fintona and the Dooish Road in Dromore.
Further schemes are earmarked for the Seskinore Road, Killyclogher village, the Whitebridge Road, Old Clana-bogan Road – including the junction at Prices Shop – as well as the Rahony and Ballynahatty roads in Fintona, Leaghan Road in Sixmilecross and the Clogherney Road in Beragh.
Within Omagh town, resurfacing works totalling £55,000 are planned for Clontarf Drive, Killybrack Road and Edenbrack Road.
The Department is also preparing several footway resurfacing schemes, including the Hospital Road and Derry Road in Omagh, Old Mountfield Road and Tirquin Road in Killyclogher, and locations at Festival Park, Mullaghmore Drive, St Julian’s Road, Glenard Road and Cannonhill.
Additional footway improvements are planned for Camdery Road in Dromore and Wilmount Road in Drumquin.
