POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious sexual assault of a male in the Carrickmore area on Thursday October 22nd.
Detectives from the Public Protection Branch have launched an investigation into the serious incident which occured in the area of Termon Road and the junction of Malahui Road and Hazelhill Road between 11am and 12.30pm last Thursday.
A police spokesman said, “We are appealing for witnesses following a serious sexual assault of a male in the Carrickmore area on Thursday 22nd October.
“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Termon Road and the junction of Malahui Road / Hazelhill Road between 11am and 12:30pm, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 1633 22/10/20
“Information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.
