TYRONE soccer sensation, Conor Bradley gained rave reviews from football pundits last night (Wednesday) after another stellar display for Liverpool.
The Killen man, who started as right back for the Reds against Chelsea, grabbed two assists and also scored his first ever Premier League goal and, whilst the game ended 4-1 in favour of Liverpool, it was the 20-year-old’s performance which received the most plaudits.
After the game, a typically humble Bradley commented on X (formerly Twitter) that it had been, “A special night at Anfield.”
However pundits were not quite so demure in their appreciation.
“He was absolutely magnificent,” said former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler on TNT Sports.
“Every Liverpool player was brilliant but that was a special performance.
“The manager will have a headache now because I’m not sure you can leave him out of the side. Anyone who went over his side, he defended unbelievably.”
Ex-Scotland international Ally McCoist remarked, “The Liverpool fans are loving him, and so they should.”
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand suggested, “He was nothing short of phenomenal in that first half.”
Interviewed after the game on the BBC, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp summed Bradley’s performance up when he said, “What a wonderful kid he is.”
He continued, “Outstanding finish, the whole game, the contribution, the involvement. It’s a job to play against Sterling, that’s not easy. I’m really happy for him.
“He’s a very serious young man and that was pretty special I have to say. We saw in pre-season. He is really doing well.”
