Council postpone Community Funding and Advice Fair due to strike

FERMANAGH and Omagh District Council have said that although the local government sector is not participating in the planned day of industrial action by the public sector tomorrow they have had to postpone a Community Funding and Advice Fair at Omagh Leisure Complex.

The event will now take place on February 13. Fermanagh and Omagh District Council services and facilities are scheduled to operate as normal tomorrow, however it is possible that industrial action by central government departments, such as disruption to the road gritting service within the Department for Infrastructure, may have an impact on the delivery of Council services such as refuse collections.

Updates in relation to any disruption to Council services will be provided on the Council website and social media accounts as soon as possible, however this may not be until Thursday, 18 January, when the full impact of industrial action and weather conditions are known
