‘Delight’ at recovery of stolen engagement ring

A BREADY woman whose engagement ring was stolen during a burglary 10 months ago has finally been reunited with the cherished piece of jewellery.

The ring, which was taken during a raid in Bready last year was recovered by the PSNI during a search operation of a home in Newry on Tuesday, which was part of the ongoing investigation after the burglary.

A quantity of suspected Class B controlled drugs and a mobile phone was also seized and taken away for further forensic examination.

Speaking about reuniting the woman with her engagement ring, Detective Constable McGaffin said, “During the search operation, an engagement ring was recovered from the property believed to have been taken during the burglary last year.

“It is extremely pleasing to be able to reunite the owner with her possession.

“An engagement ring is an extremely personal and sentimental item, and the owner was delighted with this outcome,” Constable McGaffin added.

Police enquiries are continuing and officers are appealing to anyone with any information in relation to any of these incidents to contact detectives on 101.
