St Conor’s Primary School & Nursery Unit is not letting the current pandemic stand in the way of celebrating Christmas or showcasing the children’s talents and finding a way of bringing the school community together, albeit remotely.
The entire school prepared and performed a variety of Christmas songs, recited Christmas poems and reflections in front of the camera. And so, a Christmas concert, which includes all children performing on stage in their class bubbles, showcasing the musical ability of the children, will be shared with all parents and families in time for Christmas.
Principal, Katrina McGettigan, said, “At St Conor’s, we were determined that performances should not be cancelled, but rather adapted, this year, recognising that the annual festive performances of the nativity and other plays are a highlight of the term for pupils and many parents.
Opportunities like this are fun and they provide great memories for years to come, not to mention how performing for an audience helps raise children’s self-esteem.
“We trust that our parents and families will enjoy the Christmas entertainment that awaits them.”
