Families still coming to terms with devastating weekend crash

MORE details have been released about the three victims of a weekend crash near Moy.

Conor Quinn, 31, from Derrylaughan, 23-year-old Laura Hoy-Henry, from the Cookstown area, and John Guy, 48, from Keady in County Armagh, died in the three-car collision on the Armagh Road, which happened around 10.20pm on Saturday night.

A death notice published for Conor said his funeral arrangements will be announced later.

The notice said he was the beloved son of Bernie (nee Gates) and Hugh, and the cherished father of Riley, Garry, Cathair, Turlough.

Conor was also the much loved brother of Roisin (Dean Marshall), Padraig (Álanna), Cathal (Roxanne), and the grandson of John and Mary Gates and the late Paddy and Mary Ellen Quinn.

A death notice for Laura also said her funeral arrangements would be announced later.

The notice said she was the devoted mother of Laoise (O’Neill), the precious daughter of Dympna Hoy (nee McCann) and Dessie Henry and the stepdaughter of Benny O’Neill and Marie Henry (nee Quinn).

Laura was also the cherished sister of Liam (Denise), Noleen, Anthony, Rebecca (Callum), Lesley-Anne (Noel), Stephen, David (Jessica) and the late Linda (Owens) (R.I.P).

She was also the cherished granddaughter of the late Rosemary and Tony (McCann) and the late Florence and Finley Henry (R.I.P).

A death notice for John Guy Guy, who was originally from Dublin but had been living in Keady, said he was a dearly beloved daddy to Troy, Maddie, Carla, Tiana, Brogan and Morgan, a cherished son of Harry and Caroline and loving brother to Regina, Aisling and Christopher.

His funeral arrangements have also not yet been announced.

Four other people were injured in Saturday night’s collision, with three of them being taken taken to hospital.

Police said they received a report at about 10.20pm on Saturday night of a three-vehicle collision involving a red BMW, a grey Volkswagen and a white Audi.

“Officers attended, along with colleagues from other emergency services,” said assistant chief constable, Davy Beck.

“However, two men, aged 31 and 48, and a woman, aged 23, were sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

“Four other people sustained injuries, three of whom are receiving medical treatment.”

Police enquires are continuing and anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed the incident or who has dashcam footage or any other information, should contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1654 – 21/02/26.
