The daily Covid-19 announcement by the Public Health Agency has revealed a further five people have died in the North in the past 24 hours.
This brings the total number of fatalities from the virus to 78, with the number of confirmed cases rising by 84 to 1,339.
The figures revealed that there are 52 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
In the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area, 43 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed, while there are 47 cases in the Mid Ulster council area.
So far there has been 888 tests carried out in the Western Trust, while in the Southern Trust there has been 1,510 tests conducted.
8,204 people across the North have returned negative test results.
The figures are correct at 11.15am today (Wednesday, April 8).
