Five new Covid19 deaths in the North

Five more people have died in the North having contracted COVID-19 according to the Department of Health.

According to the Department of Health, 1,042 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Northern Ireland in the past 24 hours, and five new deaths have been recorded.

Out of the 1,042 new cases, 264 have been identified in the three council areas which cover Tyrone.

In Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area, 39 new cases have been identified, while in Mid Ulster, 115 cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.

In Derry City and Strabane District Council area, 110 new cases of the virus have been confirmed.

In the past seven days, 6,753 new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed.
