Integrated College, Dungannon celebrate prizegiving

Celebrating the successes of the Year 12 and Year 14 pupils in the last academic year at Integrated College, Dungannon, was the aim of the school’s recent senior prizegiving ceremony.

Welcoming students, past and present, their parents and staff to the event was vice principal, Elizabeth Seale, before the school principal, Mr Sleeth, made a proud speech to the full house.

During his address, Mr Sleeth, reflected on the excellent GCSE and A-Level results achieved.

“I wish to applaud the academic accomplishments of our students,” he said. “Your dedication to learning and commitment to your studies have brought you to this moment of recognition. Today, we celebrate not just your grades on paper, but also the journey in Integrated College Dungannon that has moulded you into the young people you are.”

Speaking to the students of their many successes beyond the classroom, Mr Sleeth added, “Our college is a mosaic of talents, passions, and individual strengths that collectively contribute to the vibrant ethos within these walls.”

Awards were presented to the many students in attendance by Mr Sleeth, principal; Lynda Forde, head of College Achievement, and Andrew Blackadder, head of Sixth Form.

Eugene Grimley, Department of Education governor, presented the GCSE and GCE special awards.

A musical interlude by the Performing Arts department followed the presentation of awards and the event concluded with refreshments served to all present.
