Omagh Half Marathon to return next year

THE Omagh Half Marathon is set to go ahead for the first time in three years.

The event has changed days, and will now take place on Sunday, April 3 rather than its normal Saturday.

The traditional route for the Omagh Half Marathon covers 13.1 miles, starting from the Omagh Leisure Complex, before proceeding through the town centre; Campsie; Crevenagh Road; Arvalee; the Hospital Road; Killyclogher; the Gortin Road; and back to Omagh Leisure Complex via Cappagh Parish Church, Strathroy and the Gortin Road.

This is a day for runners to keep in their diary as excitement builds for a return to the normalising of sporting events.
