Over 120 new Covid cases in Tyrone council areas

OVER 120 people have tested postive for Covid19 in the past 24 hours in Tyrone council areas.

According to the daily figures released by the Department of Health, 123 new cases have been identified in the three council areas which cover the county.

In Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area, 14 new cases have been idenified today (Wednesday) with 156 people testing positive in the past week. The total now stands at 2,2228 cases since the outbreak began.

In Mid Ulster, 68 new cases were confirmed today with 294 positive tests returned in the past week, taking the total number of cases in the area to 4,994.

In Derry City and Strabane Council area, 41 new cases were confirmed today and 308 cases in the past seven days. There have been 4,994 cases confirmed in the area.

416 new cases of Covid19 have been confirmed and four further deaths have occurred in the past 24 hours.

There has now been 1,015 Covid-19 related deaths according to the Department.
