Over 470 cases of Covid in Tyrone council areas

THERE have been 39 new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, according to figures released by the Department of Health.

A further eight people have died in the North.

In the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council  (FODC) area, there are 80 confirmed cases of the virus, with 10 deaths recorded.

In the Derry City and Strabane Council District area (DCSCD) , there has been 20 Covid-19 related deaths and 164 confirmed cases.

In the Mid Ulster Council area, there are 227 confirmed cases with 29 Covid-19 related deaths.

A total of 4,609 people have now tested positive for Covid-19 since the outbreak began, with 514 deaths recorded by the Department of Health.

There has been 58,136 test carried out in the North – 1,918 tests carried out in in FODC area, 3,091 indivuals tested in Mid Ulster council area and 3,028 tests carried out in DCSCD.
