THE generosity of the local farming community will once again be on full display as Plumbridge Livestock Sales Ltd gears up for its annual Christmas charity auction next Thursday, December 18, at 1pm.
Last year’s event was a remarkable success, raising nearly £16,000 for charity. Contributions included £13,938 for Macmillan Cancer Support and £2,000 for the Digg 4 Kids campaign, supported through Edel Conway.
Funds were generously donated by farmers, buyers, sellers and local businesses through livestock, goods, vouchers, and prizes.
Looking ahead to next week, the auction will support two vital local causes: Friends of Arvalee School & Resource Centre and Knockavoe School & Resource Centre.
Both schools, in Omagh and Strabane respectively, provide essential support to children and young people with additional needs, and the auction aims to help sustain their important work.
Plumbridge Livestock Sales Ltd is now inviting the community to donate items, vouchers, hampers, goods, services, or livestock for the auction. Every contribution, large or small, makes a tangible difference to these local causes.
The auction will take place live at the mart, with the added convenience of live online bidding via the Marteye App.
The mart extends heartfelt thanks to its dedicated staff and the loyal farming families, buyers, and sellers whose ongoing support highlights the very best of the local agricultural community.
