THE full file has been received by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS) in relation to a lorry driver accused of causing a crash in Garvaghy which killed three young friends just over two years ago, a court heard today.
Donatas Timinskas (34), of Main Street, Belmyne, Dublin, has also been charged with causing grievous bodily injuries to another man in the crash on the A5 road in the early hours of December 27, 2021.
The offences relate to the collision which resulted in the deaths of Peter McNamee, Nathan Corrigan and Peter Finnegan, who were all in their twenties.
The defendant, who is further charged with speeding, having defective brakes and driving without due care and attention, did not appear at Omagh Magistrates Court today for the latest hearing in the case.
Last week, deputy district judge Peter Prenter saiud he would allow Timinskas to remain in Dublin until a significant update was ready, to avoid travelling to Omagh.
However the PPS told the court that further information requested from the police had now been received and the full file was now complete.
The PPS requested a further four weeks to make a decision in the case.
Timinskas is due to appear before Omagh Magistrates Court on Feburary 20.
