Rescue service delighted with donation

THE donation of two new rescue sleds has been welcomed by the Community Rescue Service Western Division.

The sleds were sourced and donated by the Allstate Charities Team Strabane.

Western District Commander Ivan Barr explained, “Since taking possession of the rescue sleds only a number of weeks ago they have been deployed on a number of occasions proving their worth to the local organisation and indeed the community at large.

“We wish to express our deepest and heartfelt gratitude to Reece, JR and the Allstate Charities Team for their outstanding support.”

Mr Barr said the organisation and volunteers are overwhelmed with the outstanding support they receive from the community and local business.

He added, “This new equipment along with our newly laid out trailer allows us to deploy resources quickly and effectively in the interest of the person in need. We cannot thank the residents and businesses of Strabane and Donegal enough for their continued support.”
