A STUDENT has tested positive for Covid-19 at Loreto Grammar School, Omagh.
In a statement posted on Facebook, the school confirmed a post 16 pupil has tested positive for the virus.
The statement read, “A post 16 pupil tested positive for Covid19.
“The school worked closely with PHA (Public Health Authority) and followed guidance.
“Identified close contacts have been advised to self-isolate for 14 days.
“A letter from PHA will issue to all close contacts confirming date of return.
“A general letter from the PHA regarding this incident is posted on our schools website.
“An enhanced clean has been arranged.”
School will continue for all other pupils.
The statement continued, “See school website for Covid guidance for parents.
“Pupils must wear masks in circulation and on buses.
“Social distance, hand washing and sanitising must be maintained.”
“Everyone is asked to stay safe and behave responsibily both inside and outside of school to ensure that positive cases are kept to a minimum.
“Social gatherings must be avoided.
“Please be assured that Loreto is doing everything possible to prevent the spread of Covid 19.
“We rely on your support”
