Three more Covid-19 deaths in the North

There are now 489 confirmed cases in Covid-19 in Tyrone council areas.

In Fermanagh and Omagh, there are 81 confirmed cases of Covid-19, while in Derry City and Strabane District Council area, there are 160 cases.

In Mid Ulster, 248 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed.

The Department reports that ten people have died in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area, while 20 people have died in Derry City and Strabane District Council.

In Mid Ulster, there has been 29 Covid-19 related deaths recorded by the Department.

In today’s daily briefing, the Department of Health confirmed there have been three more Covid-19 related deaths recorded by Northern Ireland’s Department of Health, bringing its total to 521.

One of the deaths happened since Thursday, the two others happened earlier but have only just been added to the department’s total.

The department’s daily figures are mostly comprised of hospital deaths and where a patient had previously tested positive for the virus.

A further 17 confirmed positive cases of the virus have been confirmed, bringing that total to 4,696.
