ONE half of the Tyrone team’s management duo, Feargal Logan has been congratulated on his recent All-Ireland success at Strabane Magistrates Court.
Mr Logan, who is joint manager of the senior squad with Clann Na nGael’s Brian Dooher, made an appearance at court recently via videolink. The solicitor was representing a woman who had been accused of harassment and the improper use of social media.
However, as soon as Mr Logan’s face appeared on the screen, a representative from the Public Prosecution Service offered his praise.
“I’d like to extend a big congratulations to Mr Logan, and a big thanks from the people of Tyrone,” the lawyer said.
Mr Logan, who had less than a week earlier lifted the Sam Maguire in triumph following Tyrone footballers’ victory over Mayo at Croke Park, thanked the court for the sentiments.
As the case transpired, the charges against Mr Logan’s client were subsequently withdrawn.
Deputy District Judge John Connolly joked, “There is absolutely nothing to suggest that this has anything to do with the result.”
