Washingbay Green Run cancelled over coronavirus

THE organisers of this weekend’s Washingbay Green Run have cancelled the event over the coronavirus outbreak.

In a statement, the organisers said they hoped to hold the annual race – which attracts hundreds of runners – on June 12.

“This decision-making process has been a very difficult one, but after deep consideration of the wellbeing of our volunteers and runners the decision to postphone until a late date made sense,” they said.
