A WOMAN has tragically died following a two-vehicle collision outside Omagh on Saturday.
Police have confirmed that Bernadette (Bernie) Cranley, aged 82 and from Lifford, Co Donegal, was the driver of a silver Toyota Vitz involved in the crash. She sadly died at the scene.
The collision occurred at around 12.30pm on the Mellon Road, between Omagh and Newtownstewart near the Ulster American Folk Park, and involved a blue Suzuki Vitara.
Another woman, aged in her 70s and driving the second vehicle, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Inspector Cherith Adair from the Collision Investigation Unit said, “Our enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of the collision, and we would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have captured dash-cam footage which could assist us.”
