The Met Office NI have put out an alert for an expected weather warning for wind later today and tomorrow morning.
High winds are to be expected from 3pm today (January 12) until 3am on Friday (January 13) which may bring some disruption to transport and infrastructure.
The Met Office have advised on what to expect:
- Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely
- It is likely that some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer than usual.
- Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely.
- Some short term loss of power and other services is possible.
- Some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities may be affected by spray and/or large waves.
