TIERNAN Bradley is hoping to gain experience from his second professional fight in Malaga on Sunday, rather than developing the ‘hype’ that has followed him into the paid ranks.
The Omagh man knows that another first round knockout performance, like during his emphatic debut in Poland against Kornel Cendrowski, will do nothing more than improve his profile.
And while that is a definite positive for someone on the bottom rungs of the pro ladder, it’s not the be all and end all for the 23-year-old.
“This fight is a six rounder and I want to get the six rounds. If the knockout comes, the knockout comes but I want to get six rounds in,” he explained
“If you have plenty of rounds under your belt say ten fights down the line, it stands for you. You don’t develop experience from knocking guys out in the first round and you’re not going to learn anything about yourself either.”
