CLUBS in the Fermanagh and Western League have voted against relegating four team from Division One next season.
Because clubs voted to end last season, which was cut short by the conoravirus pandemic, with promotion and no relegation that left more teams in both Division One and Reserve Division One.
In an attempt to rectify the situation and to even out the top three divisions the management committee proposed a rule change at Tuesday evenings’ EGM that would have allowed four teams to be relegated from the top flight in the forthcoming season.
However that was rejected when put to the clubs which means that only two teams will be relegated from Division One next season.
Clubs have also been instructed not to play a game without an official referee.
League chairman Neil Jardine said, “no referee no game.”
