Dates set for Tyrone Club Championships

The first round of the 2022 Tyrone Senior Championship is due to get underway across five days from September 22nd-26th with the winners back out again a week later in the quarter-finals.

Tyrone CC last week outlined their proposed autumn dates for their championships-across all adult grade which will guarantee a hectic two- month period of knockout action.

First onto stage is the Junior Championship, with the two preliminary round ties in that competition to be played on September 10th/11th. That will be followed by the first rounds in both the Intermediate and Junior Championships to be staggered from September 15th-19th.

Then from September 22nd-26th comes the busiest spell with 16 matches planned in total. These include the eight SFC first round contests, as well as the eight IFC and JFC quarter-finals.

After that from September 30th-October 2nd the four Senior quarter-finals will be down for decision, and in addition the Intermediate and Junior semis will also be played. The Senior last four encounters will then proceed the following weekend (October 8th/9th), as will the Senior and Hurling County Finals, though they could yet be put back until October 15th/16th.

The Intermediate and Junior Football Finals will be played on the weekend of October 15th/16th, with the Senior Final taking place on the weekend of October 22nd/23rd.
