Drumquin teen plays for Ulster Schools side

A TALENTED Drumquin rugby player has made his competitive debut for the Ulster U18 Schools’ side.

Reece Braden, a pupil of Omagh Academy, played in Saturday’s 22-15 victory over their Munster counterparts at the IRFU’s High Performance Centre in Dublin.

Braden, a loose head prop forward, played the entire game and the 17-year-old and his team-mates are now preparing to lock horns with Leinster at Newforge Lane in Belfast tomorrow evening (Friday).

This is the second year that the Drumquin teen has been involved in the Ulster pathway programme.

Reece is the younger brother of David, who joined the Ulster development set-up back in 2016, and who made his competitive debut in Omagh Accies’ 24-21 victory over Dungannon also on Saturday.
