Enniskillen Town United is to challenge the way the Fermanagh and Western League called time on its season.
Last week the 31 member clubs and officers voted to end the season by using a points average ratio with promotion and no relegation.
That meant that Tummery Athletic would be crowned Division One champions for the first time in the club’s history if the decision was ratified by the IFA.
The Enniskillen club had recorded it’s dissatifcation regarding the decision and the Ulster Herald can confirm that the Enniskillen club has now lodged an appeal with the IFA.
A clear majority of clubs had voted to call time on the season although the option to use a points average method with no relegation to decide final league positions got the nod by a narrow margin.
