The Fermanagh and Western League committee has unanimously decided to declare the 2020-21 season null and void.
That decision was taken at a meeting earlier this evening (Monday) because of the ongoing coronavirus restrictions.
Instead the committee has decided to establish a one-off competition that can run alongside the Mulhern, Reihill and Junior Cup competitions.
A sub committee has been set up to organise the new competition and it is hoped that the first games can be played from Saturday, January 16, 2021.
The IFA is also looking at options around the playing of the prestigious Irish Junior Cup.
