F&W representative ‘honoured’ to be elected to IFA post

Neil Jardine said it was an honour to be elected Deputy First President of the IFA.

The current chairman of the Fermanagh and Western League and secretary of the Fermanagh and Western FA  was elected at an IFA Senior Council meeting this week.

At that meeting Conrad Kirkwood was elected the President ahead of his fellow County Antrim member Jack Grundie.

After his election Mr Jardine, who served as IFA treasurer from 2007 to 2011 said, “It’s a honour for me and our local association to be elected to the role.

“We are the smallest association so I think this is a reflection of what we do. Yes it’s a fancy title but you never forget where you come from and I hope to do that going forward.”
