Two ‘Drums’ aim to ‘beat’ a path to the Junior final

THE two ‘Drums’ will aim to ‘beat’ a path through to the Tyrone Junior Championship Final when they meet at Healy Park this Saturday, with Drumragh and Drumquin each eyeing up a date with destiny.

The Sarsfields have struggled to get beyond the last eight phase of the competition over recent years but inspired by a man of the match display from midfielder Eamonn McCann they edged out Castlederg last weekend 0-11 to 0-8.

After a hectic start with both sides registering some sparkling scores in the heat at Newtownstewart, the contest settled down into a typically dogged Championship arm wrestle, with Drumragh eventually coming on strong again in the latter stages to take the spoils.
