DARRAGH Canavan and Eoin McElholm could be in line for their first competitive outings of the new season as Tyrone get set to face Kildare in this evening’s Division Two opener against Kildare at O’Neill’s Healy Park.
Sharp-shooter Canavan is back in the 26 after undergoing surgery for an ankle problem, while Eoin McElholm, who starred in Loughmacrory’s run to a first ever Tyrone Senior Championship title, is also named on the subs bench having sat out the McKenna Cup with injury. Trillick’s Ciarán Daly is also in line for his first run-out for Tyrone this year.
Manager Malachy O’Rourke has named a strong line-up for this evening’s game with a blend of experienced players as well as newer faces who staked a claim during the pre-season McKenna Cup competition.
