Harps paired with familiar foes Harryville Homers in last-16 of Junior Cup

STRATHROY Harps have been drawn against familiar foes Harryville Homers in the last-16 of the fonaCAB Irish Junior Cup.

Harps defeated Homers 3-0 in the 2013 showpiece final to win the prestigious silverware for a second time.

Following that defeat though Homers completed an amazing three-in-a-row between 2014 and 2016 and are sure to present a formidable challenge for Harps boss Benny Boyle and his class of 2022.

Strathroy have been given home advantage and Boyle will be hoping that his players can continue their progress when the sides lock horns early next month.

Tummery Athletic have meanwhile been drawn at home to Enniskillen Rangers in a repeat of the 2019 decider while NFC Kesh will face Mid Ulster League side Coalisland Athletic at Gortgonis.

Twice winners Enniskillen Town United will entertain Goodyear.

All fifth round ties have been pencilled in for Saturday, February 5 with extra-time snd penalties if required.
